Dealing with Frustration

Hello Friends!
We're living in some strange times, aren't we?
I've been frustrated off and on for the past few weeks trying to get into my blog.
Something as simple as  password reset didn't work, trying to contact a person didn't work...
Obviously, I've figured a way around it, and I hope I'll be able to repeat whatever I did, but it's frustrating.  And speaking of frustrating, I'm sure you've tried to buy eggs, toilet paper or milk lately?
Frustrating.
The traffic on 35 has subdued a bit since social distancing became a thing but sitting in traffic? Frustrating.
But let's change our perspective - a paradigm shift, if you will.
How frustrating must it be to be sitting in hospital waiting for treatment if this Corona Virus has affected us?  How frustrating must it be to suddenly have a house full of kids and not be able to go to work in order to support them.  Or how frustrating it must be to have planned a beautiful dinner or a fantastic vacation only to find you're under quarantine and the restaurants aren't open anyway.

But on the other hand...
Many of us are getting to spend more time with our family, which, let's face it, birth family, chosen family or a little of both, is huge.  Getting to be around the people we love is always a good thing.
We're lucky that, politics aside, we live in a country that has great health care.  Dedicated doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, EMT workers - the list goes on- are offering some of the best care in the world.  In unprecedented times, the people we have taking care of us if we get sick are top notch.
The immediate world around us seems quieter, maybe a little calmer, and if we keep our watching the news to a minimum (enough to get the news, not enough to drive home a deep-seated scare)  can even be a little less frustrating.

So let's keep perspective.  It's new, unfamiliar times and we may just need a little more patience with people, whether they're family, co-workers, or even the stranger at Walmart that's buying toilet paper in line in front of us. Very slowly, paying in pennies....
